At a wedding this weekend, my husband and I met a couple who had to cancel their 60th wedding anniversary celebration this year… due to the rona. Praying all of this “ridiculous”-ness ends soon, they hope to gather family to help them celebrate their 60th during their upcoming birthdays, both turning 80 years young. You know what they miss most about 2020? Gathering with their church family for weekly dinners. That’s the one event their church hasn’t brought back. They were part of the cook team. Such a fun couple.

I pray that my hubs and I will similarly be so full of life, wisdom, and wit, continuing to use discernment, without fear of the future. May we always remember to seek wisdom from those who’ve lived hard days before our time. It’s a great reminder that we will see hard days and not only survive… but thrive.
